2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. Technically necessary access data is processed when you visit the website. This may include the requested page or file, the date and time of access, the volume of data transferred, the referrer URL, browser type and version, operating system and IP address.
To the extent that we are responsible for this processing, it is based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to provide this website securely, reliably and without technical errors. STRATO provides log files through the hosting account; according to STRATO, hostnames or IP addresses are anonymised in these files, and files for the preceding six weeks are made available.
3. Cookies, local storage, analytics and tracking
This website uses no analytics, marketing or tracking services and no advertising or analytics cookies. A technically necessary session cookie is used to operate the contact form securely. In particular, it associates form requests with a session and helps protect against abusive submissions.
Your chosen text size is stored locally in your browser so that the preference is retained on subsequent page visits. You can remove this storage through your browser settings. Images and fonts are served from our own webspace. No external fonts, videos, maps or social media plugins are embedded.
4. Contact form and email enquiries
When you contact us using the form, we process your name, email address, optional company name, selected subject and message to handle your enquiry. If you contact us by email, we process the information you send for that purpose. Depending on the enquiry, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to handle and respond to enquiries.
To prevent automated or abusive submissions, the contact form processes technical session data and pseudonymous security counters based on a hash of the IP address. These counters limit repeated submissions; requests within the preceding 24 hours are considered for this limit. This processing serves our legitimate interest in protecting the website and the contact form.
Messages are retained only as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and meet statutory retention obligations. Our hosting and email service providers process data insofar as necessary to provide the website and deliver messages.
5. External links and LinkedIn
A simple external link does not load content from the linked provider when you visit our website. If you follow an external link, for example to LinkedIn, you leave our website. Processing on the destination website is governed by that provider's privacy policy.
6. SSL/TLS encryption
This website is provided over an encrypted HTTPS connection. You can recognise an encrypted connection in particular by “https://” in your browser's address bar.
7. Your rights
Subject to the statutory requirements, you have in particular the following rights:
- Access to your personal data (Article 15 GDPR),
- Rectification of inaccurate data (Article 16 GDPR),
- Erasure of personal data (Article 17 GDPR),
- Restriction of processing (Article 18 GDPR),
- Data portability (Article 20 GDPR),
- Objection to processing in accordance with Article 21 GDPR.
8. Right to lodge a complaint
Under Article 77 GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. For companies with their registered office in Baden-Württemberg, the competent authority is generally the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Baden-Württemberg:
Der Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg
Heilbronner Straße 35
70191 Stuttgart
Germany

9. Updates
This privacy policy reflects the website's current features, including the contact form and text-size preference. It will be updated if additional features such as newsletters, analytics tools or embedded third-party content are added.
